It was exciting to join Shadow Minister for Sport Senator Don Farrell and Ben McGregor – Labor for Clark to announce that a Shorten Labor government will provide $90,000 to upgrade basketball facilities at Claremont College.

The new backboards, rings and supports, retractable seating and foam padding will not only benefit students but also the Glenorchy Basketball Association, the largest community sporting club in Tasmania.

It will also benefit volleyball, badminton and football players who use the gymnasium for games and training.
