It is wonderful to attend New Frontiers: The Biennial Conference of the National Federation of Australia Japan Societies in Adelaide today as Chair of the Australia-Japan Parliamentary Friendship group representing the Government and Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong – Senator for SA.

Australia and Japan share deep and longstanding trade and investment, defence, scientific research, and cultural ties.

Japan is one of Australia’s closest partners, and this relationship has only continued to grow in recent years.

I hope this conference further builds upon the already close relationship between our two countries, particular in our emerging aerospace industry. #ausjpnconf
