On the weekend I was honoured to open the CWA Almost High Tea raising vital funds for Tassie Mums at the Kingston Community Hall.

Tassie Mums is a fantastic local charity providing daily essentials for babies and children across the state to support healthy and happy lifestyles. Last year the charity donated 1352 clothing bundles and this year have so far donated 800.

The charity also donates toiletry packs, back to school packs, linen for bassinets and cots, and cots, highchairs, and prams. Tassie Mums have not had to have said no to any request so far and are now supporting at least one child every week to sleep safely as the charity turns 7 this October.

It was wonderful to catch-up with Clair from Tassie Mums as well as the Mayor of Kingborough Paula Wriedt.
