Today I joined members of the Ukrainian community – including husband Robert Bilyk – and their Tasmanian friends at a rally in Hobart calling for peace in Ukraine.
The Labor Opposition stands shoulder to shoulder with the Australian Government, the Australian community and Australia’s allies across the world in supporting Ukraine and opposing this unprovoked aggression.
Thank you to the Association of Ukrainians in Tasmania for organising this rally and for supporting their community.

Tears flowed at this morning’s rally of solidarity with the Ukrainian people held at Parliament House gardens in Hobart.
A number of people spoke of their shock and disbelief at Putin’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on the peaceful and peace loving people of Ukraine.
